In the heart of the legendary Clos de Vougeot, surrounded by Grand Cru vineyards, La Folie de Vougeot is an utterly singular address. Isolated and almost unreal, this late 19th-century tower rises from the rows of vines opposite the Château du Clos de Vougeot, within one of Burgundy’s most iconic wine landscapes.
Built in 1892 in a spirit inspired by Art Nouveau by a wine merchant from Dijon, La Folie was long abandoned before undergoing a remarkable revival. Saved from demolition, it has been meticulously restored over several years with a clear ambition: to breathe new life into this emblematic landmark without ever betraying its soul. Every intervention was carried out with deep respect for the classified site, the surrounding vineyards and the heritage of the place, making La Folie a discreet statement of preservation and transmission.
Today, La Folie de Vougeot offers an experience unlike any other, at the crossroads of confidential hospitality, wine culture and the Burgundian art of entertaining. La Folie de Vougeot welcomes its guests into a fully privatized property, designed for two people only. Spread across four levels, the tower offers a vertical reading of the place, with each floor revealing a different facet of the experience.
The main level features an elegant reception and dining space, designed to host up to twelve guests in an intimate setting overlooking the vineyards. Above, a one-of-a-kind suite, spacious and filled with natural light, combines bedroom, sitting area and bathroom, offering generous volumes and absolute comfort. Noble materials, carefully restored period furniture and selected works of art are complemented by discreetly integrated modern technology, entirely at the service of well-being.
At the top, a rooftop belvedere provides a breathtaking 360° view over the Clos de Vougeot, the slopes of the Côte de Nuits and the neighbouring château — a unique vantage point reserved for a privileged few.
