Château de Ferrand

Château de Ferrand

The French Flair Experience

Built in 1702 on the heights of Saint-Émilion, Château de Ferrand overlooks woods and meadows that stretch across ten peaceful hectares. Far from the bustle of nearby villages, the estate feels secluded and quietly self-contained.

A Grand Cru property, Ferrand has been family-owned since 1978 and is now led by Pauline Bich Chandon-Moët and Philippe Chandon-Moët. Hospitality here follows the natural rhythm of château life – attentive, unhurried, and never demonstrative.

Renovated in 2019 by Patrick Jouin and Sanjit Manku, the interiors blend clean contemporary lines with the spirit of the historic house. Art from the private BIC collection is displayed throughout the salons, creating a subtle dialogue between architecture, wine, and creativity.

More than a stay, Ferrand offers time – space to slow down, reflect, and experience daily life on a working Bordeaux estate.

A singular address to discover with French Flair during your luxury trip to Bordeaux & the West Coast.

Accommodation

The château offers just three spacious rooms – Cour, Parc, and Potager – all located within the historic residence.

Natural materials, soft tones, and generous proportions create an atmosphere that feels both refined and deeply personal. Large windows open onto the park, filling the rooms with light and quiet views.

Guests are given the keys to the château and move freely between the Grand Salon, the Petit Salon, and the dining room, experiencing the house as a private home rather than a traditional hotel.

Service is discreet and precise, provided by a dedicated year-round team.

When fully privatized, Ferrand becomes an elegant Bordeaux country house, shaped by art, wine, and silence.
